Reviva Weddings Latest Press on Facebook

We are delighted to work with some fabulous publications here on the Costa del Sol.
The now well established Confeti Magazine which is embarking on it's second year here on the Costa Del Sol and has quickly become a must have bible for any couple planning a wedding in Spain or Gibraltar with many of the talented suppliers here advertising and producing editorials for this beautifully produced magazine.
Confeti are also heading over to the National Wedding Show in London's Olympia on the 18th to the 20th February and you can find them on stand B63.
We were also featured this week in the Olive Press, a fabulous newspaper here again covering the Costa Del Sol and what I love about this particular paper is the fact it covers the more rural Andalucia rather than just the coast.
Both these press features can be found on our Facebook page

Wedding Insurance continued

I received an interesting response from Adam who has checked out this latest dilemma http://www.compareweddinginsurance.org.uk/articles/wedding-insurance-and-the-volcano-activity-in-iceland.
We now have a shop full of orange and red flowers so if anyone fancies a nice arrangement for the weekend please do call us! Only joking, But we did order loads of flowers just in case they got here.
The irony is I picked up my daughter from the airport tonight with a suitcase full of love heart sweet favours for tomorrow as well:(
So I have changed plans and will spend tomorrow in my store room with my new shelves.
Mind you my daughter also bought some fabulous hanging white hearts and love letters and I have my other daughter arriving on Wednesday with more goodies I have ordered, can not wait to see them all!

A Spanish Affair

It is wonderful to get so much inspiration from such creative people and the hugely talented Lisa Vorce from Oh so charming wins hands down yet again with this vibrant and passionate theme, completely evocative of Spain, flamenco and tapas.
I was sent this by one of my new clients, they are planning their intimate wedding in Ronda here in the summer and I am expecting this to be a lot of fun with such a huge amount of creativity and a complete love of the Spanish culture combined :) It is times like this we are allowed to step outside the box and create some fabulous and unconventional settings.
Throw in some sangria jugs, tie labels to them, look at the real surroundings of Andalucia and where you are getting married and use this theme to create the perfect Andalucian rustic wedding. Heaven! x

A Spanish Beach Wedding

We were delighted to be hired to dress a lovely Spanish Beach Restaurant, Aqui Te Quiero Ver, for a wedding at the end of July. After some deliberation on the colour scheme the bride opted for a lovely idea of using the pink bouganvilla with a fabulous plumbago lilac.
We had table runners made up, used stargazers to add in that wow factor and the smell, scattered pink bouganvilla on the tables and decorated the posts with small sprigs of it.
The ceiling on the terrace and indoors was decorated with white lanterns to create a truly magical effect as the sun started to set. We have nagged this fabulous new photographer for more photos of the lanterns! In the meantime visit Andreas's website for more of his stunning photographs www.andreasholm.com

The Magical Garden Sneak Preview!

I am sure Jeremy will put me to shame when I see his photos of this wedding! But here is my sneak preview until I get the pro's :) What a wonderful wedding this was and such fun to do, with our white and lime daisy theme, bubbles and a magically lit up garden for the evening. Check back when the pro's photos arrive, can't wait to see them! Jeremy kindly gave up his Saturday night to come back and photograph the garden at night so I owe him a large beer!

Budget Centrepieces for Weddings

I have found as the recession hits so many brides are struggling to achieve their perfect wedding with drastically cut budgets.

One of the areas you can dramatically cut costs, without compromising on style, is with the centrepieces for your wedding tables. Flowers are beautiful but can really push the budget out of control.

This year we are providing brides with many alternative ideas for their wedding centrepieces, starting from as little as 20 euros.

We are hiring out birdcages with cream candles in, just decorated with a touch of ivy, flat glassware filled with crystal stones, water and floating candles, taller glassware filled with coloured water and a few flowers to decorate, our invisible candles are fabulous, glassware filled with citrus fruits, the list is endless but this is now a very popular idea.

Many of the venues here in Marbella also offer very basic centrepieces included in the price of the wedding package, but you are not stuck with these, here is how Reviva Weddings transformed 3 red roses into something much more spectacular, using our glassware, coloured sand, candle, table mirror and colour co-ordinated tealights we created this centrepiece for 24 euros.
