Playtime Tag! Feeling fun & groovy

I was tagged today by A Bun Can Dance and it is a challenge and fun, so here goes

My Favorite Picture

Me and Twinkle, I was so happy and on cloud nine, she was so perfect! :)

My Favorite Poem

I WANDER'D lonely as a cloud
That floats on high o'er vales and hills,When all at once I saw a crowd,
A host, of golden daffodils;Beside the lake, beneath the trees,Fluttering and dancing in the breeze.
Continuous as the stars that shine
And twinkle on the Milky Way,They stretch'd in never-ending line
Along the margin of a bay:Ten thousand saw I at a glance,Tossing their heads in sprightly dance.
The waves beside them danced; but they
Out-did the sparkling waves in glee:A poet could not but be gay,
In such a jocund company:I gazed -- and gazed -- but little thoughtWhat wealth the show to me had brought:
For oft, when on my couch I lie
In vacant or in pensive mood,They flash upon that inward eye
Which is the bliss of solitude; And then my heart with pleasure fills,And dances with the daffodils.

Japanese Themes

I am fascinated by this website, I originally found this via Flickr whilst researching Japanese themes. I was blown away with the amazing photography and the different approach to table design and napkins, it is an art form. The attention to details and the meanings that this creator uses are fascinating. Worth a look for inspiration and I believe they are now on Etsy.

Easter Treats

I have just died and gone to heaven with these wonderful Easter treats I have found on Not On The High Street. Aren't they just wonderful, fabulous site, will have to go shopping tomorrow! Love the paper easter egg lanterns, what fun for a party and got to have the jar of speckled chocolate eggs, that is a must for me!

More Inspiration boards for Marbella brides!

Here are two boards we have created this week for our Spanish brides.
The first one is for Natalie, our Marbella garden wedding theme with Bali umbrellas, yes I am buying some this week as Natalie tells me there is a wonderful shop in Marbella selling them so hot footing it there! Natalie sent me some wonderful images of white buckets filled with daisies which has become one of our favorites for this year.
The second board is for Natasha who is getting married at the La Posada Del Torcal this July, a wonderful wedding we are looking forward to with a military guard of honour at the Antequera church followed by a Zoroastrian blessing at the venue, so exciting and we are going ice aqua, lovely :)

Stylish Beach Wedding on a Budget

I love the simplicity of this beach style wedding with the white covers and cushions laid out, how to save money on chairs, etc without compromising on style, although perhaps not for older guests as they would never get up, practicalities sometimes take priority!

I am afraid I cannot remember where I got this image from so if it belongs to you please shout and I will credit it.

Mamma Mia Inspired Greek Wedding

Whilst on the subject of theming weddings based on wonderful films, my thoughts turned to the wonderful Mamma Mia film with the beautiful wedding. I have to admit I am addicted the film and have watched 3 nights in a row recently! I have put together this inspiration board based on a romantic greek wedding. I think there will be more as there are no butterflies on this one!

Wizard of Oz Wedding theme

This is my latest work on the Wizard of Oz theme with a Kansas country twist, rainbow cupcakes and the dogs of course! I also found this fab image of red wedding shoes on Style Me Pretty that I had to throw in!

It is strange as I have had this theme in my head for ages and my mother rang to tell us it was on tv, we all sat down the other day to watch this wonderful film, my little girl loved it, I thought she would be petrified of the witch, as I was as a little girl, but she was so excited and loved it!

Having themed events, that have many stages, my obvious choice would be to have a yellow aisle runner, the yellow brick road, and perhaps the Emerald city for the evening reception, this will be worked on!

Spanish style table setting

I am in love with this table setting found on the fabulous Once Wed blog, it has been created by Courtney at Flush Designs, it has a wonderfully rustic spanish feel to it, the jug of sangria certainly helps! Loads more images on Once Wed and Flush Designs. Notice the bird theme has cropped up again definitely a trend for 2009.

Not on the High Street

I have come across this fab website www.notonthehighstreet.com perfect for anyone getting married that is looking for those quirky, lovely details. Full of decorations, well worth a visit. In fact the letters on my post below Vintage Wizard of Oz the letters on the caravan are from this website.

Vintage Wizard of Oz style wedding

Whilst searching for Wizard of Oz ideas for weddings I came across this lovely wedding, it has some of the elements of a Wizard of Oz theme and perhaps a cherry theme, still working on it but wanted to share these lovely images with you. Unfortunately I have not kept the details of where I found these so if you are the owner please let me know so I can add details to this post.

Preston Bailey - My Idol!

More fabulous table settings from the amazing Preston Bailey, I love his approach of thinking outside the box, my favourite is this water centrepiece, submerging the flowers in a huge container on the tables. Such a simple yet effective idea.
