A fabulous winter wedding board found on Grey Likes Weddings, I love the baby Christmas tree.

French Style Heaven!

As I sit here on Day 3 of torrential rain, (fed up!) I have just died and gone to heaven I think, having discovered these three fabulous blogs, many hours of reading I think! Green Weddings Shoes, Grey Likes Weddings and Elizabeth Anne Designs.
This fabulous tablescape styled by Summer at Grey Likes Weddings is just to die for with all those fabulous vintage style details and the lovely muted colours scheme perfect, so many elements all beautifully bought together.

Beautiful Winter Wedding

I adore this time of year with so many decorations and found this fabulous winter wedding on Elizabeth Anne Designs, to see more details and the hugely talented list of suppliers involved in creating this wedding visit the blog.
The centrepieces were created with white cabbage florets, snowflake mums, white roses, gold pine cones and twigs. There are so many fabulous details from the Christmas ornament guest book to the snow white winter wedding cake.

My Christmas Wish List!

Ok so here is my Christmas wish list!
Having gone horrendously silver and white this year, not only with Christmas but my house, all walls were painted white in October, silver reigns supreme now on my tree and decorations (snowflakes being the theme), but I would love to have a front door covered in snow, these fabulous stockings found on Not on the High Street and of course a new fab silver (or pink not fussy!) leather bound diary for next year :) I fear I will be ordering one myself after Christmas!

Christmas Weddings

It is difficult at the moment with all this rain in Spain to be creative, I feel like (and have been) flopping out on the sofa with my little Twinkle toes (3 year old!), painting, glittering, reading my magazines and making teddy bear beds!
However, having decided to try to gain some creativity tonight, I came across these lovely images from Misty Dawn Photo, evoking a huge sense of fun and festivity for a Christmas themed wedding. Absolutely adore the gingerbread bride and groom and all the lovely details from the candy canes used as table seating indicators to the seasonal table names. I can only imagine what the table names were, Santa, Rudolph, etc. A hugely fun time to have a wedding with all the wonderful themes you could conjour up for a Christmas wedding or party.
I might get round to the Rocky Road cakes tomorrow courtesy of my Nigella cookbook!

Ideas for Christmas Weddings

Unfortunately here in Spain we do not get many Christmas weddings, such a shame as today here it is over 20 degrees, clear blue skies and beautiful.
It does not stop us creating ideas and searching for inspirations, here on Not On The High Street.Com we found this beautiful rose heart with a festive touch, we are loving the touches of holly and ivy with the berries and those gorgeous ribbons. A fabulous idea for decorating a festive wedding.

Cath Kidston Style Wedding

As we start to design our 2010 weddings, here is one of our most creative brides ideas, with a fabulous Cath Kidston style wedding.
We are loving her ideas and she is so involved, from the wedding stationery that has been designed herself, to making up the fabulous favours and all the details even down to the bows, obviously a hidden talent that we are currently trying to recruit!
A wonderful garden theme, which is hugely popular for 2010, with an abundance of peonies in jugs for the tables, flashes of hot pinks and turquoises, mixed with stylish napkins and textures, ribbons, lanterns and fairy lights.
We can't wait to put this wedding together, and recruit our hugely creative bride!

2010 Weddings in Marbella and beyond!

Image taken from Polaroids and Peonies

We are creating some fabulous weddings for 2010 and will be posting some of our inspiration boards and our 2010 brides ideas soon to inspire you all. We have one hugely creative bride next year, who we are currently trying to persuade to move to Spain and work for us!

The overall trend for 2010 is natural, relaxed, much more personal touches and a lot more use of the local foliage, quirky ideas, we love them :)

Magical Pink Wedding in Nerja

As the wedding season here in Spain came to an end, we were hugely excited to be decorating the wedding of Claire and Ronan in Nerja. As usual at the end of September the rain was threatening, Claire was so determined to have an outdoor wedding we just persuaded her to go for it and sure enough the skies cleared.
Our forever grateful thank you to Jeremy for these fabulous photos of Claire's flowers and the decorations we provided, adding that magical, romantic sparkle to the evening and our congratulations to Claire and Ronan. I do love the name of these roses, Dolce Vita, they have a spanish ring to them, fab ivory with a hint of hot pink edges.
Our lovely thank you from Claire
"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a big THANK YOU!
The decoration of the beach club was fantastic and everyone commented on how well it looked. Ronan and I really appreciate the effort you put in and the extra work involved in the last minute change of plan to decorate the beach club rather than the ballroom. I was bitterly disappointed when I thought we had to move the meal into the ballroom, it all worked out perfectly and we appreciate your input into that.
I have been asked for recommendations and I will happily pass your details on.
All the best Claire and Ronan"
