Christmas Wedding Inspirations

It is pouring with rain here this morning in Spain, and very dark, so here I am with coffee, browsing ideas for our fabulous weddings and got slightly sidetracked with beautiful Christmas Wedding Inspirations.

Sadly here in Spain we do not get many Christmas weddings but that does not stop us dreaming of creating and designing them!!

These images are from Green Wedding Shoes and I can imagine this beautiful set up in a dark Spanish stately home or one of Seville's glorious tapas bars with the dramatic reds and golds, touches of lace, sprigs of berries that could easily be olive sprigs and those dramatic amaryllis.  It seemed a shame not to share and do check out the gold oreos!

Dreamy and Romantic Shades of Purples

Sunday mornings are never complete without some relaxing inspiration hunting and this morning is no exception as I travelled over to Wedding Chicks to find this dreamy, romantic table setting.

Lilac goes hand in hand with romance and is such a pretty, gentle colour. The soft purples, dreamy mauves and crisp whites makes me think of spring and garden weddings.

There are so many gorgeous flowers to use from the fabulous large hydrangea heads to the divine smell of lilac, mixed with cool water roses, fluffy white peonies and freesias, a glorious array of flowers.

I love all the details on this photo shoot from the cake pops to the simple cut glass votives with a cool water rose popped into each one and those deserts look heavenly!

Macarons or Cupcakes?!

Wedding world is in turmoil as the once humble but gorgeous Macaron is overshadowing our favourite cupcake!
Sex and the City started the cupcake boom but Gossip Girl has fetishized the humble macaroon, with Starbucks recently carrying a limited edition of macarons, it seems the little french confections are everywhere!

And how delightful they are too with these gorgeous sorbet colours presented in delightful boxes. They are certainly becoming a popular choice for weddings this year, although I have yet to see them at one of our weddings but working on this one and need to find a supplier here in Spain that makes them, as they will make a wonderful addition to a candy desert table.

My 'thing' though is the packaging as always, to have these macarons presented in to die for gorgeous boxes tied with some fabulous ribbons and I would be in heaven if presented with one of these at a wedding!

Whilst I blog away you must visit some sites I found today, Bobette & Belle and La Duree, well worth heading over to take a look

Fabulous Cath Kidston styled wedding at Hacienda San Jose

Never in all my years as a stylist have I ever met my match with one of my brides, and I was truly astounded by Rebecca's talent and her attention to all the details that went into styling her wedding. A girl that is definitely in the wrong job for sure.
This wedding was organised and catered for by Heather at Fiestasol, beautifully photographed by Kris McGuirk and apparently, as I always leave far too early, a fabulous night of dancing followed with Rob the DJ.
Everything you see here was created by Rebecca, a graphic designer based in the UK.
I already knew this was going to be a stunning wedding, as Rebecca has been working hard on producing a portfolio of stationery for our shop here in Spain last winter, and I had been enlightened to most of what she was planning, but she still left my jaw dropping when I saw the amount of work she had put into her own fabulous day.
Nothing was left to chance, even the baby's nappy pants were styled with the baby's name and she was dressed in a mini Cath Kidston, but we do not have photos of this which is a shame, hoping we will get some though as it was so cute!
We filled in the gaps with Rebecca's flowers and dressed the tables for her, but her attention to the details was truly amazing from the table names with photos on, to the personalised sweet jars for every guests.
The fabulous candy and icecream bar for when hot guests arrived back from the church, the mirrored disco ball, the personalised wooden initials, the fairy lights her electrician father installed the day before, the list was endless.
Needless to say if Rebecca ever decides to up roots and move to Spain, we have already offered her a job. Rebecca is also promoting her stationery through our shop here in Spain so if you would like the same attention to details and stationery created here please do contact us for more information.
Our congratulations to Rebecca and Rob and hoping Rebecca is now having a well earned rest on her honeymoon!

Tropical coloured wedding at Guadalmina

What a huge amount of fun we had creating this fabulous brightly coloured wedding for Elaine & Kieran at Guadalmina in July, organised by Kerry at Celebrations in Spain.
Elaine contacted us last year with her vision of how she and Kieran wanted their day, it soon became apparent that this was to be a fun and vibrant wedding, so we were on a roll! Not just with the decoration but I popped back later whilst the wedding was in full swing and the entertainment was amazing.
I have to say having looked at the photos that the flower girl is truly the cutest :)
There was so many lovely details from the brightly coloured bouquets created by Olivia, our zingy lime chair sashes dressed with pink gerberas. Tall, tropical centrepieces we created with oranges and limes really gave the room at the Guadalmina a wow factor.
There was no stone left unturned as we created and designed everything to pull this day together from the fans, confetti cones, table seating plans, brightly coloured lanterns, the fabulous candy bar with our miniature windmills and jars of love hearts, that I believe are still stashed in Jeremy's house :), the fuchsia favor boxes with personalised butterfly stickers, the list is endless!
Wonderful cupcakes by Bibi Glace and of course, yet again, our huge thanks to Jeremy and Jenny for such fabulous photos of such a wonderfully happy day.
Think my nagging is paying off now, but I have unfortunately been given the nickname of PITA, pain in the arse?! Thanks Jeremy :)!
