Black and White with Pink Party Inspiration

As the month of February arrives our thoughts turn to Valentines Day, love, hearts and all things pink, red and more excuses for edible delights and sparkle!

Us girls always seem to find a reason to eat cake and chocolate and February of course is good enough if it is pink or heart shaped!

So to kick start this month we thought we would share this pretty shoot we found on 100 Layer Cakea nice start to a fabulous February.

We know many of our brides will be planning bridal shower parties and perhaps just some girlie get togethers, so black and white mixed with pinks and a hint of gold sparkle is a perfect and easy colour scheme to use.

We love the details, of course, the stunning Marimekko plates, now on my wish list, with the gold cutlery and those gorgeous gold fortune cookies set off the table beautifully.

The guest girly goodie bags are to die for and how fabulous to receive one of these at a bridal shower or girls night complete with hot pink nail polish and cool sunglasses plus these rather pretty confetti pops, what a lovely idea but we are still trying to find the tutorial as as think they would be so cute for our weddings!

I can feel a Valentines girls night coming on just as an excuse to make up goody bags so watch this space!

A Stunning and Stylish Wedding in Barcelona by Reviva

รง

Jennifer and Mike contacted us this time last year to help them plan their destination wedding here in Barcelona.

Carla flew to Barcelona last autumn to meet Jennifer and Mike to start to organise the venue and details with them.

Jennifer and Mike chose the beautiful historical setting of La Baronia overlooking the town of Sant Feliu de Codines to host their wedding day and the breathtaking 14th century Gothic Santa Maria del Mar church for their wedding ceremony set in the Ribera district of Barcelona.

With the venues booked Carla worked closely with Jennifer and Mike over the winter months and leading up to their wedding day here at the beginning of July.

The style was a black tie affair combined with blush pinks as accents for florals and details.  The smart, neutral colours softened with the blush pinks worked perfectly with the historical backdrops of the Santa Maria del Mar and La Baronia.

We love Jennifer´s dress and her combination of her bridesmaids in black with blush florals and how handsome did the men look in their bowties, albeit they had the instruction manual out :)

Little did we know how many fabulous dance moves Jennifer and Mike´s friends were capable of!  I was very impressed when we received these gorgeous photos from Cesc Giralt.

Our thanks to the amazing suppliers that worked with Reviva.

whom without these stunning photos we could not share this wedding with you.

After a very hectic few weeks with none less than 4 weddings this weekend, we are delighted to show our fabulous wedding at Los Monteros with a black and white theme. There will be more photos to come of this wedding, these are our snapshots!

Our creative bride had thought out many details which we designed with her and created the theme of black and white with pearls.

There will be photos of the church in Marbella to come with all the bridal flowers, we created the fans decorated with black and white ribbons and pearls, the confetti cones again to match plus the mass booklets for the church, I took some snapshots before they left here!

For the reception we decorated miniature cava bottles for the girls with name tags tied on with white ribbons, decorated with pearls and a black straw and for the men we did cigars, again with name tags but decorated with black ribbons plus we had a fun time doing a lovely Disney Clubhouse kids table for her little girl who was also celebrating her second birthday, complete with Disney Clubhouse party bags, balloons and of course a birthday cake :)
Our lovely martini's adorned the tables, although they were on and off for a while due to the wind, that eventually as always here in Spain, died down as the evening progressed along with white lanterns hung on the gazebos and over the bar.
We loved the table names, all named after bands with the Commitments as the top table! My favourite table name was the grown up girls table, The New York Dolls!
More fabulous photos to come of this wedding, including the church, when I have nagged the photographer to boredom and beyond :) x
