Tagged again!

Kathy at Divine Occasions has nominated us for a Blog Award.

Here is the lovely text we have to post!

"Thank you for showing us wonderful blog love. I heart you too! These blogs are exceedingly charming. These kind bloggers aim to find and be friends. They are not interested in self-aggrandizement. Our hope is that when the ribbons of these prizes are cut, even more friendships are propagated. Please give more attention to these writers. Deliver this award to eight bloggers who must choose eight more and include this cleverly-written text into the body of their award.”!

So I too, nominate her back and some more of my favs that I stumble on every day!

Photo Shoot from Bride and Bloom Magazine

On one of my daily reads this morning, Brenda's wedding blog, I saw these fabulous images of this beautiful table setting which was inspired by one of Kathryn at Snippet and Ink inspiration boards. This was a photo shoot for the Spring 2009 Bride and Bloom so perhaps a preview! Created by a team of extraordinarily talented people headed up by Maria of Ritzy Bee and Janie of Brides Cafe. To see more visit either of their blogs, wonderful :) Again I notice the lovebird theme is incorporated on top of the cake. Whilst I love this one of my pet hates is the smell of gypsophilia so I would have to replace this with something else or leave it out!

Fabulous New Wedding Style Book

I had to post this, as my sister bought me out this fabulous new wedding inspiration book her company have just launched. It is brimming with style ideas for brides, whether you are planning a traditional wedding or a more contemporary event this book is perfect for inspiration. I was supposed to be in the Stylists section but sadly, and not sure yet why, I was left out :(

Still onwards and upwards and definitely worth a read!

Jade Goody Wedding

I have been thinking about this all day as to whether it was appropriate to mention this wedding on my blog, but it is a subject that hits my core and I have just watched the day's events covering Jade Goody's wedding on the news.
I guess I can relate to this more so having watched my younger sister battle with cancer over the past 3 years and to watch this young woman's fight is inspirational.
Jade Goody has displayed the most amazing courage and ferocious appetite for life which will be taken away from her within the next few weeks, she is only 27 and yet her strength and determination to raise enough money for her two sons has been nothing less that extraordinary, truly admirable.
I hope her and her family, especially her two young sons, had the most magical day today which will never be forgotten by those that were there to share such a poignant day.

Lemon and Aqua Wedding

I was having lunch in my parent's garden today with my sister and her best friend who were visiting for the weekend. The sun was out and my mother, who always beautifully dresses tables, had laid the table today in turquoise and lime colours, turquoise table mats, lime napkins, lime coloured bread basket and her white crockery.
My sister then announced she needed some lemons for her G&T! I dashed to my house, next door!, got my stepladder and raided my lemon tree in my garden and bought back a few lemons and plonked them in the middle of my mothers beautiful lunch table, it was a heavenly colour scheme I kept admiring all afternoon! So fresh and vibrant and perfectly Meditteranean. I found this inspiration board tonight on www.weddinginspirationblog.blogspot.com which compliments the colours I had today but I will do my own inspiration board tomorrow for this fabulous colour combination!

Fabulous Table Settings

Whilst surfing yet again I paid a visit to the Grace Ormonde Site and found these fabulous table settings, again the use of twigs for centrepieces, beautiful coloured linens and those chair covers are amazing. I love the aqua setting perfect for a romantic dinner for two and yet more inspiration!

Valentines at Lobster & Swan

I was remiss this week and did not post any Valentines ideas, just too busy, but this morning whilst updating myself on my favorite blogs I came across these charming photos from Lobster and Swan, I just love the shabby chic decoration and that ecletic mix of dining chairs, I am being truly inspired this week for some reason, needless to say my house is currently being painted all white!
