Mimosa trees have exploded into life this month welcoming signs of Spring here in Spain. These delightful trees bursting with yellow fluffy balls remind me of yellow fireworks and always herald sunnier days to come.
This provided a lovely inspiration for our recent photo shoot with Joseba Sandoval at Romance Weddings.

The location for our shoot was at a charming new venue, located right here in Marbella.
The Cortijo Correa has been painstakingly restored by its owners into its former glory and we love the fact they have kept the decor to a traditional Andalucian interior design.
The Cortijo sleeps up to 12 people with lots of outside spaces for a wedding up to 150 guests including a very Sevillian style courtyard which were formally the stables and some beautiful terraces and gardens.

This venue´s location is perfect for clients wishing to have a rustic Andalucian wedding but located within minutes from the glamour of Marbella.
I have to confess during this shoot I was extremely unwell and have to thank Mar at Romance Weddings who stepped in along with Isabel and Jess to help set up and style the shoot for me as I was practically laying down in the back of the car during the whole afternoon!
We used bright Mediterranean colours to compliment the yellow of the mimosa. The cute table setting was dressed with an ikat throw and decorated with a medley of flowers including white anemones, red dahlias, pale pink amaryllis, mimosa, coloured candles and props stolen from the venue! We used white chargers with colourful plates and added little touches of mimosa to the tables and Mar made the cute mimosa garlands for the chairs. The table was finished off with gold glassware and cutlery.

We are delighted with the results and would like to thank the following hugely talented contributors.
