Cath Kidston Style Wedding
As we start to design our 2010 weddings, here is one of our most creative brides ideas, with a fabulous Cath Kidston style wedding.
We are loving her ideas and she is so involved, from the wedding stationery that has been designed herself, to making up the fabulous favours and all the details even down to the bows, obviously a hidden talent that we are currently trying to recruit!
A wonderful garden theme, which is hugely popular for 2010, with an abundance of peonies in jugs for the tables, flashes of hot pinks and turquoises, mixed with stylish napkins and textures, ribbons, lanterns and fairy lights.
We can't wait to put this wedding together, and recruit our hugely creative bride!

2010 Weddings in Marbella and beyond!
Image taken from Polaroids and Peonies
We are creating some fabulous weddings for 2010 and will be posting some of our inspiration boards and our 2010 brides ideas soon to inspire you all. We have one hugely creative bride next year, who we are currently trying to persuade to move to Spain and work for us!
The overall trend for 2010 is natural, relaxed, much more personal touches and a lot more use of the local foliage, quirky ideas, we love them :)
Magical Pink Wedding in Nerja
As the wedding season here in Spain came to an end, we were hugely excited to be decorating the wedding of Claire and Ronan in Nerja. As usual at the end of September the rain was threatening, Claire was so determined to have an outdoor wedding we just persuaded her to go for it and sure enough the skies cleared.
Our forever grateful thank you to Jeremy for these fabulous photos of Claire's flowers and the decorations we provided, adding that magical, romantic sparkle to the evening and our congratulations to Claire and Ronan. I do love the name of these roses, Dolce Vita, they have a spanish ring to them, fab ivory with a hint of hot pink edges.
Our lovely thank you from Claire
"I just wanted to drop you a quick note to say a big THANK YOU!
The decoration of the beach club was fantastic and everyone commented on how well it looked. Ronan and I really appreciate the effort you put in and the extra work involved in the last minute change of plan to decorate the beach club rather than the ballroom. I was bitterly disappointed when I thought we had to move the meal into the ballroom, it all worked out perfectly and we appreciate your input into that.
I have been asked for recommendations and I will happily pass your details on.
All the best Claire and Ronan"

Perfect Wedding Expo Fuengirola November 2009
Here are some of our images of the Wedding Exhibition this weekend, some fabulous fashion shows and entertainment, a well laid out exhibition hall and our wintery wedding themed stand!
Having left this to the last minute we quickly put together a white and silver theme for the stand with a fairy light backdrop for that extra twinkle :) The fairy cakes did not last!
A lovely weekend had by all and thanks to Gary for our photos.
We have been invited to another wedding exhibition this weekend at the H10 Andalucia Plaza Hotel opposite Puerto Banus, we would love to see you there.

Verdict of the Perfect Wedding Expo
Just got back from a long weekend at the Perfect Wedding Expo. The first English speaking wedding show in the Costa Del Sol, my thoughts.....
Having paid a deposit for our stand and initially been excited by this innovative event, we were subsquently disappointed with the handling of the exhibitors of this show, whilst I appreciated there was a lot of work involved, I had expected more communication with the organisers and a decent website and marketing to be done.
Having realised this was not the case I opted out and was prepared to lose my deposit.
However, I was contacted by Gary Tapp, the photographer who said he would share the cost of my stand (which had gone up) and would help me man it for the weekend so after much deliberation I decided to go for it, nothing to lose.
My verdict, it was a good weekend, Saturday was busy, today was quieter, but overall, a brilliant job and exhibition put together and the organisers pulled it off. A good way to network with other suppliers in the Wedding World without having to arrange hundreds of cups of coffees for the next few months and nice relationships forged.
It is a shame that there were some people that let Wendy down with all the hard work she put into this, in particular the website designer, but as it was the first exhibition I would personally give it a 10 out of 10 for a wonderful weekend and hope it has set a precedent for more, which I am sure from the feedback this evening it will. Next year a lot more organisation from the communication and website point of view and I can see this becoming a very large featured show each year, it has my full support.
Well done to the Perfect Wedding Expo team for pulling this off despite some small grey areas. We will post some photos of the exhibition as soon as Gary sends them to me!

Is this 2009's tackiest wedding?!
I am still speechless at this wedding that was sent to me via a Greek friend, could this be the tackiest wedding for 2009. I quickly have to add we have nothing to do with this, but just had to post it :)! I don't think Martha Stewart would have approved! I would love to receive any other horrendously tacky weddings if anyone out there has some, we could start a competition! Enjoy the photos!
