A Happy New Year!

As we welcome in 2011 I would like to wish all our followers, clients, work colleagues and suppliers a Happy New Year.

We are hugely excited about 2011, with many lovely weddings already being designed and planned in some fabulous venues here in Southern Spain. We will also be launching and promoting some wonderful new venues here in Southern Spain that have never opened their doors before to weddings.

We have many projects under wraps which will be revealed as we move into 2011 including expanding into other locations across Marbella and beyond, a stylish new Reviva range of event and wedding decorations being set up online in the next few months, so even if you are not getting married here in Spain we can provide you with our stylish accessories for your wedding day and a fabulous new website under construction.

I hope you all had a lovely Christmas and New Year, mine was spent with my family here in Marbella hosting lots of lovely dinner parties, going out for wonderful long lunches and just spending some quality time with my youngest daughter.

New Winter Snowflake range from our online shop

We love our new range of Winter Snowflake collection available on our online shop.

A huge range of snowflake stationery from hot water bottle labels to table numbers. The beautiful guest book decorated with handcut snowflakes and a delicate dusting of tiny crystals adds that extra wintry sparkle. With many matching accessories such as flower girl baskets and ring pillows this is truly a beautiful collection for a winter wedding.

Not on the High Street

I have come across this fab website www.notonthehighstreet.com perfect for anyone getting married that is looking for those quirky, lovely details. Full of decorations, well worth a visit. In fact the letters on my post below Vintage Wizard of Oz the letters on the caravan are from this website.

Cupcakes in Marbella

Memories haunt me and I will never forget going into a very tempting spanish bakery about ten years ago, one rainy afternoon, with my husband and greedily buying a whole bag of what looked like delicious cakes, only to get home and be overwhelmed with the taste of cinnamon. I so remember the disappointment.

The cupcake trend is new here in Spain and after much investigating in 2008 (and testing!) we have joined up with a wonderful cake maker here in Marbella who can create beautiful cupcakes rather than the dubious spanish versions, forgive me! Here are some images of her cakes from a wedding in September, they were lovely, cake toppers available from our online shop. We will also be stocking filigree cupcakes holders and matching confetti cones in our new online store, for more information please email us.

New products for 2009

Whilst we are researching delightful products for our new online store, here is a sneak preview of some of the unusual products we will offer for 2009 to make your wedding or event truly special and unique. Ribbon wands, individual initials to hang from goodness knows where, we love decorating trees in particular!, cupcake flags and these delightful personalised origami favours.

One of our most popular products are our lanterns, we love them, they create such beautiful atmospheres for our weddings and parties on hot balmy Mediterranean nights.

Fuschia Bouganvilla Wedding at Las Islas

What fun we had creating this wedding for Dennis and Ruth. It certainly helped that they had chosen such a fabulous venue, a boutique hotel & restaurant, Las Islas, run by Omar who could not have been more welcoming.

A rare find and such a thrill to have discovered such a charming venue, hidden in Torreblanca. I will certainly be putting this on my regular restaurant list now, the food was amazing.

Ruth and I decided on a Bouganvilla theme and use the local flowers to decorate her wedding. We used pink bouganvilla for the centrepieces set in crystal water pearls and lit up with pink floraltyes.

Swarovski pink table diamonds, pink napkins tied with white ribbons and a personalised olive oil bottle completed the table settings.

We ordered monogrammed cards from Reviva Weddings online shop and had them individually written with the guests names. We supplied fans decorated with pink ribbons and hung the table seating plans in the tree by the bar. The ceremony was beautifully conducted by Andrew Hunter and Dennis and Ruth used one of our unity sand sets they had ordered from our shop and had personalised with their names and wedding date.

The evening was finished off with some of Reviva Weddings sky lanterns, a truly magical end to a truly magical day.

Since we launched our online wedding shop for couples getting married in Spain, it is interesting to see what is selling and one of the most popular items sold are from our range of lovely guest books and matching pen sets.

Wedding Fans

As we live in beautiful Andalucia in Spain, an obvious for any bride getting married here is to have fans (abanicos) for their weddings. Reviva Weddings are now able to supply beautifully decorated fans personalised with names and dates for 2,50 euros, here are just some of the samples we have made up recently for weddings.
Since we announced this product we are taking orders from Spain, UK, Ireland and Italy.

We are also supplying plain fans now to be shipped to other countries, available in many colours, sizes and designs and there is no minimum order.

Cherry Blossoms

This theme has been sitting on my computer now for ages but I revisited it and dragged it out. It is my first cherry blossom theme for a wedding and having been working on my Japanese themes it seemed appropriate to bring it out from the archives.
