Glitter and Sparkle Glamour at Villa Padierna, Marbella

One of my friends recently asked me if I dream of glitter but the answer to this is I don´t sleep enough to dream, let alone of glitter, so I throw it around in real life instead :)

Who does not love a touch of sparkle and finally, after much posting about this lovely subject, we managed to add in some glitter and sparkle into our styling of the gorgeous wedding of Sarah and Ruben at the Villa Padierna Hotel.

I can´t tell you how excited we were creating signs and table seating plans with glitter, gorgeous table numbers in pretty white vintage style frames (with glitter!) dipping confetti cones in glitter and making tiny gold and pink glitter hearts, we were in heaven!

Sarah had organised her wedding herself, which is a feat from a different country, but needed help to put the finishing touches to her wedding day from setting up a welcome vintage style white table to offer her guests personalised fans, parasols and confetti, to styling her delicious dessert table and dressing the reception tables.

We loved working with Sweet Things By Fi on the dessert table.  We drooled over the cake and all the lovely sweet goodies Fi created including macarons, cakes pops and meringue kisses.  I had been warned not to even try to steal anything but did manage to sneak some of my bonbons :)  

We provided the sweets to match the desserts including the rather nice vanilla and strawberry bonbons, which were very yummy! along with glass bowls of pastel jelly beans, mallows, chocolate hearts and white swirl lollipops.

Credits to us for some fabulous styling!, on the day wedding stationery and coordination, Sweet Things by Fi for some very yummy cakes (promise I did not steal anything!), Virginia Florists who created the beautiful flowers and Joseba Sandoval from Romantic Weddings for such beautiful images.

A Sparkly Sneak Preview of our Stunning Marbella Club Wedding :)

We knew we would eventually sneak the sparkle and glitter in somewhere in our 2013 weddings and here is a preview of a wedding we planned and designed this weekend at the prestigious Marbella Club.

Ingrid and Hugo invited their friends and family here from Holland to celebrate their wedding and we organised a 3 day event including a welcome dinner at the Gran Gatsby restaurant and a post wedding beach lunch at the Trocadero beach in Marbella.

We loved designing and creating the wedding details including our stylish table seating plan set into a white vintage style frame embellished with simple green bows with table names and placecards to match.

 Pretty accessories and florals adorned this wedding from the personalised fans decorated with green ribbons and white paper vintage style roses, gorgeous florals from Virginia florists, fresh green chair decoration, chill outs in silvers and whites with a few silver sequins thrown in all made for a beautifully stylish wedding.

There was lots of romance and glamour combined with a beautiful palette of whites, silvers and fresh greens along with many fun parts to the day which we will share with you soon including a midnight white balloon send off with sparklers.

Intimate Wedding La Virginia, Marbella

What can I say, but we love weddings and there is nothing more alarming and challenging than being sent a table seating plan for over 100 people at 1am in the night before a wedding to design, create and print read for the morning :)

But once a bride is forgiven and has since become a fabulous wedding planner and a good friend and even sent me creme eggs to win forgiveness 3 years later, you can imagine my delight when the aforementioned bestest bride recommended us to one of her family members to help them plan and decorate their gorgeous intimate wedding here in Marbella.  

We were delighted when Emma Jane and Paraic hired us and loved planning and creating their special day here at the stunning La Virginia church this week followed by a wedding reception dinner at the La Virginia restaurant.

We thought we would share some of the pretty details we created for Emma Jane.  

Our brief was she was wearing a vintage lace style dress and her sister who was the bridesmaid would be wearing champagne.

Combined with the stunningly beautiful setting of La Virginia we created a simple but elegant style and I incorporated a bit of colour into the menus using a bougainvillea design as the venue and its surroundings are covered in this beautifully Mediterranean flower.

The tables were dressed with tea coloured vintage Spanish lace table runners and we used the altar arrangement from the church for the dining table combined with two smaller floral arrangements and surrounded them with silver mercury tealights.

We provided blush coloured napkins tied with champagne satin ribbons to set off the table and insert the bougainvillea menus into.

The end result was beautiful and we are delighted to share these images with you from Pierre Richardson photography.

I was told a wedding stylist is for life recently by Chris and Faye, one of our 2011 bestest couples, as I was set the task of shopping for cots in Ikea and again it appears this applies!  Just wondering if Claire is going to email me asking for cots shortly, just hoping it will not be at 1am at night :)
