Autumnal Wedding in Stiges, Barcelona by Reviva

As the long, hot steaming summer came to an end here in Spain our weddings continued into the beautiful month of October.  

This is one of my favourite months as A it is my birthday! and B after the end of September torrential rains it is always a beautifully warm autumnal month apart from the yearly thunderstorm that seems to wait until my birthday eve.  

A much calmer and cooler air descends on Spain as we excitedly approach our October weddings.  Spanish autumnal weddings are charming and have an feel of elegance and peace about them after a mad hot Spanish summer.

We are delighted to share Kumiko and Scott´s wedding with you held in the glorious Almiral de la Font in Sitges, just outside Barcelona, and their wonderful testimonial we were thrilled to receive.

I hope this testimonial will sum up what Reviva´s services mean to a couple trying to plan their wedding from abroad as often I get asked what do we actually do!

We don’t know how the wedding would ever have happened without all of your help.  We must have been a particularly difficult, indecisive and clueless couple when it comes to wedding planning, but from day 1 you had us on track!  

It is difficult to describe how helpful and supportive you were.  In particular, your attention to detail is unparalleled.  From suggesting and arranging meetings with the vendors and helping us find a restaurant for the rehearsal dinner, to holding our hand through the wedding weekend, we knew that everything was being covered with even greater care than we would have given ourselves.  We knew that we could trust you implicitly, which made the planning process and the wedding itself far less stressful.  

We were truly impressed with your dedication and professionalism throughout.

The flowers and decorations for the wedding were beautiful and exactly what we were hoping for.  You really understood us and our taste and matched the wedding style to us perfectly.  And thank you so much for your patience in working with us on the invitations they turned out beautifully and our guests were truly impressed!

All of our guests have said that our wedding was the best, most fun and most beautiful wedding that they had ever attended (and we agree!).  They all had an amazing time, and we did as well.  We are truly grateful for everything!

Our thank you and congratulations to the most charming couple, Kumiko and Scott who were not at all difficult to work with, they were an absolute delight and we are thrilled they allowed and trusted us to organise their wonderful time here in Barcelona with their family and friends.

A Spanish Rustic Orange and Olive Hacienda Wedding by Reviva

Tonight as we head towards Christmas at a rapid rate it is lovely to have time now to reflect back over the year and look at all our beautiful weddings so we are delighted to receive these fabulous photos from Alberto and Sue at SaroCallister photography of one of our weddings we styled way back in June at the charming Hacienda San Rafael based just outside Seville.  

I always squeak with excitement when we are creating weddings at this venue as it is so on my top list of favourite venues and I love heading up to Seville, any excuse for a mini break up there and to catch up with Anthony!

We are delighted today to have been booked to style a wedding there this coming year for Nina and Matt :)

Katy and Simon, what a perfect pair and what a laugh, I think you can see this in their photos, humour emanated from Simon and he was one of those lovely characters that was so going to enjoy his day.    

Their wedding date was set for the second week in June and having travelled to Seville in glorious sunshine the weekend before for Margot and Sergy´s wedding you can imagine my horror at waking up there 6 days later to a definite sniff in the air of rain :/

Luckily despite some grey coverage it never materialised and a fabulous day was had by all.  We had a wonderful time creating all the staging, styling, props and florals for this wedding from the paddle fans to the bridal bouquets.  A prop box was set up for the cocktail along with the fabulous table seating plan and many personalised signs were displayed around the venue.  We loved the little touches such as the dancing shoes and of course waved our famous magic wand to turn the venue into a candle lit, twinkling paradise ready for the evening.

The beautiful ruffle wedding cake was created by Sweet Things by Fi and we would like to thank Alberto and Sue at Saro McCallister Photography for allowing us to share these fabulous images with you and to Anthony at the Hacienda for always having a permanent smile on his face and being such a star to work with :)
