A Stunning Wedding in Seville

รง

I am not sure where to begin to be honest, it is difficult sometimes to describe the emotions we have when we are designing, planning and organising our weddings, but Vee and Charlie´s wedding I think sums it up for me.

I have been feeling slightly tearful tonight as I load up our gorgeous photos of this fantastic and stylish wedding we planned and designed in El Esparragal in Seville as I have such lovely memories of creating such a fantastic weekend.

I understand the journey sometimes it takes to get to a day like this and for some it is quite a journey, Vee and Charlie are no exception and such a wonderful couple that we fell in love with instantly, they are so perfectly suited and we were delighted to share their very special wedding day.

Did we love it, yes we did!

There were so many details, Carla was brilliant and amazing as  usual, as until the beginning of this year the whole wedding was planned at a completely different venue.

The original venue, I guess due to the recession decided not to reopen in April which was rather sad, so a complete rethink, searching for a new venue and another flying visit with Vee and Charlie resulted in hosting their gorgeous wedding at El Esparragal.

I have to admit I personally was rather pleased as it was a much nicer venue so hats off to Carla :)

We had such fun designing and creating this wedding, there were so many lovely details.  The Sevillian theme was fun and Victoria and Charles were so up for it, really we had a free reign.

Anoulka and I were off on design mode, with Anoulka creating some fabulous stationery, the fan shaped order of service and fan table seating plan that we placed on a small tree, our Andalucian black bulls as place cards and table names.  We had miniature Osborne Sherries with the black bull on as favours.

Red, white and black polka dot fans, red rice butterfly confetti mixed with red rose petals and gorgeous red rose and ivory rose bouquets with a red rose buttonhole for Charlie and ivory for the rest of the men.

The Sevillian theme was not complete without the elegant Andalucian dancing horse with the flamenco dancer during the cocktail, it was amazing and bought us all to a standstill.  I know a few of the girls were tearful, Izzi and Paloma!

The evening kicked off with style thanks to Rob Rocks the House as the DJ, Fi from Sweet Things By Fi providing the very yummy and die for cakes, our silver, white and red chill out created with hay bales provided by the venue, our fancy dressing up box along with Anna´s photo booth and last but not least our famous twinkly lights and lanterns!

A fantastic weekend for everyone involved, Carla and Paloma worked hard all weekend to host the pre wedding reception at the EME in Seville and I had decided to stay close to Seville for 2 nights and chosen the beautiful town of Carmona to hang out in which is truly amazing and is host to a stunning Parador.

All I can say about the whole weekend was it was a wonderful, happy and charming experience and one to be repeated, albeit slightly hot!  45 degrees in the shade ;)!

Our thanks to Anna Gazda, who without these photos we could not share our weddings with you, to Fi for making such gorgeous cakes, to Georgina and Barbara for their amazing hair and make up and to Rob who always Rocks the House  and is now known as the rising sun?!

Romance and Sparkle at the Marbella Club

All of us, of course, love romance and sparkle and this beautiful wedding in September was certainly a romantic story.

Karen and Taghi had been together 25 years and finally decided to tie the knot in the hugely romantic and stylish Marbella Club synonomous with romance of the rich and famous in the golden era.

Moira at Perfect Spanish weddings organised this delightful wedding and contacted us to help with the coordination, decoration and flowers and we were thrilled to be involved in the wedding of such a delightful and charming couple.

We created the bridal flowers and decorations based on the bright pinks of bouganvillea here along with the paler pinks to soften the bridal flowers. Karen wanted to keep it toned down for the ceremony but to use the bouganvillea pinks for the reception area to create a wow factor.

The table centrepieces were tall glass flutes filled with orchids and set on mirrors decorated with bouganvillea, crystals and tealights. We dressed the chairs with pink sashes and decorated the fabulous gardens, set right on the beach, with fairy lights, lanterns and candles.

The table seating plan was written on a white shabby chic mirror and the table names were given a flower name as the top table was named after their daughter Lili which we thought was a lovely touch. Mirrors always work well at the Marbella Club as they have them set in the walls within the beautiful Andalucian patio.

We gave the mirror as a gift to Karen and Taghi which we understand now is hanging in their bedroom having managed to get it home with apparently very helpful airline staff!

It was a beautiful day and the weather could not have been more perfect for this stunning day at the Marbella Club. Our thanks to David Toms, the photographer, Moira and Karen & Taghi for allowing us to share this delightful wedding with you.
